About Merida
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Meet Merida, Grand River's adorable 4-year-old lab-shepherd mix. Her hilarious, upright ears truly set her apart—distinctly her own style, not quite the usual shepherd look! Merida would love to be the only dog in your home, as other dogs tend to make her anxious. But with her person, she's an absolute gem, already knowing how to sit and showing off impressive leash manners. Merida is keen to learn; she picked up the 'focus' command in under 30 minutes and finds treats incredibly motivating—always taking them with exquisite politeness. She currently prefers treats over toys, but loves meeting new human friends, so a home that welcomes guests is perfect for her. However, she will thrive best as your only four-legged companion, enjoying a calmer home environment where she can be her happiest self. Fun fact: Since Merida was born on October 10, she's a Libra! Libras are known for their friendliness and desire for harmony, which shines through in her love for people and eager-to-please nature. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
