Meet Martin, a 3 year old Labrador Retriever/Hound mix weighing 37 pounds who has had a very rough start in life. This brave boy carries the evidence of a bullet wound on his front right shoulder and a hind hip injury from being hit by a car. While he’ll often charmingly ‘point’ or hold up his front paw while standing, he doesn't let it slow him down on walks. Despite all he has been through, Martin remains confident, affectionate, and full of love. He has lived through more pain and hardship than any dog should, yet he still seeks out attention and affection. Martin has been evaluated by an orthopedic specialist and does not need surgery at this time. Martin is good with kids and other dogs, and he has a gentle, loyal heart that is ready to trust again. After enduring such a difficult beginning, Martin is ready to finally know safety, comfort, and unconditional love. He is hoping to find a forever family who will give him the happy ending he has always deserved.
