About Sierra
Sierra is a wonderful girl who has been settling beautifully into foster life, and the more time we spend together, the more her sweet personality shines through. She appears to be potty trained and has been doing great. She had one accident early on, but that was our fault for not getting her outside in time. Since coming out of the puppy pen, Sierra has been going to the door to ask to go out and hasn’t had any accidents since. She has been a fantastic mother to her litter. Sierra is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. She loves a good game of fetch, but she’s also a big-time snuggler who happily asks for more pets. When she’s not cuddling or playing, she’s perfectly content entertaining herself with toys on the floor or curling up for a nap. She’s been working on basic commands and is doing well. Sierra also walks nicely on a leash so far. We haven’t gone long distances yet, but if she does get excited and pull, she seems very easy to redirect. The only behavior we’re working on is that she may jump up when excited, but she responds quickly when redirected and should learn with consistency. She does bark occasionally, but usually only when she wants to communicate that she needs something. Sierra has fully transitioned to adult food, eats comfortably in her crate, and sleeps through the night. She recently had a bath and brushing, and while she tried to hop out at first, with some praise and treats she settled down and did great. She even allowed quite a bit of combing so we could work through most of her knots/mats. Sierra truly has a loving heart and has been an absolute joy to foster. I would describe her energy level as low to medium—she enjoys a fun game of chase but would be just as happy curling up beside you soaking up all the love and affection. Sierra is going to make a fantastic companion for a very lucky family. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who loves to cuddle and be part of your life, Sierra might be your perfect match.
