About Coal Fiv+
This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Coal, a quiet and gentle soul looking for a calm home where he can take life at his own comfortable pace. This handsome black cat is sweet, independent, and a little shy, but he brings a peaceful presence that makes him a lovely companion for the right household. Coal is more of a night owl and tends to feel safest tucked inside his cozy box during the day. When the house settles down, he'll quietly venture out to explore and even enjoy a bit of playtime. He’s a low-energy guy who prefers a relaxed environment where he can observe the world and warm up gradually. This kitty gets along well with other cats and would especially enjoy sharing a home with another young, playful feline to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. While he hasn’t met dogs during his time in rescue, Coal would likely thrive best in a quieter home without them. Older, respectful kids are a good match for his sensitive nature, but homes with very young children would be too overwhelming for him. Coal is fully litter trained and prefers minimal handling as he continues to build trust. With patience, kindness, and a peaceful home, this gentle couch-potato cat will blossom into a loyal and comforting companion. Coal is FIV positive, meaning his immune system is a bit more fragile than most. With a healthy lifestyle and good veterinary care, FIV+ cats can enjoy long, happy lives. FIV is only spread via deep bite wounds, so Coal can safely live and cuddle with other friendly cats. He is fixed, microchipped, FeLV negative, and up to date on his vaccinations for his age. If you’re seeking a sweet, gentle cat who just wants a safe and loving second chance, Coal may be the perfect addition to your home. Fun fact: with a birthday of December 10, Coal is a Sagittarius, known for their quiet curiosity and independent spirit! Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
