This is a MAYDAY Call for Theodore, we are pulling him from a high kill facility in Wichita to save his life, if he does not find a foster or foster to adopt home he will be sent back to the shelter he came from and is fate will be sealed due to over crowding and not enough time to let the dogs decompress. We are just buying him time as he deserves so much more. We had a very excited adopter in line for him but they had cats and Theo chases cats and we will not take a chance with other pets. With Humans and other dogs we are told he does great, he is absolutely amazing. He is terrified of being in a kill shelter setting. "This is Theodore. Born August 14th 2024. He is Mastiff and Husky Mix. Theodore plays well with other dogs but when it comes down to it he likes just Theodore time. He's a big baby and loves to cuddle. Lives with and grew up with teenage boys. Prefer a home with no cats. When outside he loves to run and chew on sticks or just lay in the sun. He is not a fan of baths but did really good his last bathing. Loves his chew toys but really just loves to snuggle. Theodore came from the same home with 28 dogs, all cared for and playfull large breeds, but too many compalints from neighbors. (28 dogs is way too many anyway) Animal control has stepped in an allowed the owner to slowly surrender the dogs, Theodore is shutting down and not socialized to walk on a leash or other social manners that can easily be taught to a dog. If you have the type of home a big dog could just relax in and snuggle in then he is for you.
