About Zeke Swimmer In
Zeke is a medium Poodle mix puppy being fostered in Crown Point, Indiana, and available to adopters in the Chicago area. He has a soft, wavy coat, a gentle, submissive temperament, and he already loves the water — confident and happy to swim and splash. He would be a great companion for families who enjoy walks along the lakefront or visiting Chicago’s dog-friendly beaches. At 4 months old and 25 lbs, he is tracking to mature around 40–50 lbs. Zeke is calm, sensitive, and very people-oriented. He does not look or act like a Beagle; he inherited the Beagle’s sweet nature paired with the Poodle’s intelligence and soft coat. He has been great with other dogs and is learning leash skills and potty training on a regular schedule. Zeke would be a wonderful match for adopters looking for a gentle, medium-sized doodle-type puppy who enjoys outdoor adventures, water activities, and exploring the city. Adoption criteria: A fenced-in yard is preferred; leash walking will be considered for condos and apartments. An adult must be home during the day for puppy supervision. No crating — a puppy playpen is required. Children must be 7 or older (younger considered case-by-case). Homes with no dogs or one dog only. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption. His adoption fee is $475.
