About Niki
Niki❤️ Niki is a 1yr old mixed breed, weighing roughly 40lbs. After being dumped at the local landfill (scared of people, heartworm positive, dodging huge trucks, and VERY pregnant), Niki was befriended by a very kind driver. She worked very hard to gain Niki's trust and made it possible for Sandi Paws to be able to step in and get her to safety. She was nervous, but grateful to be somewhere calm, where she could just rest. Fast forward a few weeks- Niki's sweet personality had begun to show... as well as that belly of hers! Only a few weeks after being rescued, Niki gave birth to TEN healthy babies! Five boys and Five girls. Some of you may even recognize them as... the Cocktail Litter! Niki was the most wonderful mother. ❤️ After weaning her sweet babies, it was time to focus more on the rest of mama's needs that could finally be addressed. She began her heartworm journey and handled it like a pro! She has finally made it through treatment, is healthy, happy, and ready to find HER forever home!! Niki is a little shy at first but warms up quickly! She is very friendly, and LOVES making other k9 friends! Since Niki IS a little shy at first, we would recommend a little bit older, dog savvy children, who will give her time to settle and feel safe in her new home. 🙂 Niki has NOT been cat tested at this time. This smart girl is both house and kennel trained, and walks like an angel on a leash! Once comfortable, she does love walks and being able to explore! Car rides can be a little scary, but it's something that is being worked on, and the progress has gone well so far! After everything that sweet Niki has been through, all she wants is to finally have a forever home. Somewhere she can feel safe and loved. ❤️ Do you think that Niki could be a good fit for you or your family? Please fill out an application today and ask for Niki!
