Meet Gordo! A 4 year old Maltese and Poodle mix pup. This sweet little guy is friendly with people of all ages and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He enjoys meeting new friends and is happiest when he has company, whether it is human or canine. Gordo loves the simple joys in life. He enjoys a good walk and spending time outside exploring the world. He also enjoys playtime with toys, romping around with other dogs, and going along for car rides. If treats are involved, he is extra motivated and enjoys learning new things, which makes training a fun experience for both him and his people. He is still perfecting his potty training, so he will do best with a patient family who can help him stay on a good routine. Gordo is also a bit of an escape artist and will happily dash out an open door if given the chance, so a watchful home that keeps doors secure will help keep this curious little explorer safe. Gordo is a lovable, playful companion who is ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of outdoor adventures to his new home. With a little guidance and a lot of love, this sweet boy will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. Gordo is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/21/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due.
