About Chompy
Chompy has been through a lot but emerged with a bigger heart and an even stronger need for a loving family. He arrived at the rescue with heartworm but finished treatment like a champ—he’s now officially negative and looking forward to a new chapter. His history has meant fewer chances to meet other dogs, though what staff have seen so far is encouraging. Chompy seems dog tolerant and cat tolerant, and with slow, thoughtful introductions, he could live successfully with well-matched animals. Energetic and social, Chompy loves to play, charm people with his affectionate streak, and soak up every bit of attention. Toys, praise, and company make his day. He’s physically strong and has a bold personality—his adopter needs to enjoy big-dog energy and be confident handling it. He’s already house trained and working hard on his bite inhibition, but because he’s still learning not to get mouthy when excited, he’d be best with older kids or in an adults-only home. Chompy thrives on routine, positive reinforcement, and someone who appreciates a goofy, sweet companion ready for both activity and downtime. After everything Chompy has been through, he’s set to give someone his loyalty and love. When you’re ready for a deeply bonded friend with a lot to offer, Chompy’s waiting to meet you. Questions about Chompy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chompy would thrive in a home with a fenced yard or regular access to outdoor areas. American Bullies appreciate space to run but can also do well with daily walks if yard space is limited.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While American Bullies are generally good with kids, Chompy himself does best with older children or adults due to his strong, energetic personality and ongoing training around mouthiness.
