After arriving with a positive heartworm diagnosis, he bravely completed treatment, healed beautifully, and is now officially negative and ready to start his new life. A Success Story Waiting for a Happy Ending Because of his heartworm recovery, Chompy’s interactions with other dogs have been limited. However, what we have seen has been extremely promising—he appears to be dog tolerant/friendly and cat tolerant. With slow, thoughtful introductions, he has the potential to fit wonderfully into a home with other well‑matched animals.
