When Cricket was introduced to the Humane Society bark park, she was fascinated with the newness and breadth of the soon to be playground. The human stood on the other side of the park patiently awaiting a greeting from Cricket. He had turned away for a couple of minutes to readjust his camera and then he felt a gentle touch on the back of his leg. Cricket looked up with a smile on her face as she “invited” the human to join her in the bark park adventure. Five-year-old Cricket took advantage of the opportunity as she closely investigated the fire hydrant or hopped up onto the agility platform or snuck up on a squeaky and dashed her way about the park, always with a cheerful smile on her face. As she did quite often, the 36-pound canine often approached the human, and performed a self-initiated sit and then danced a whirling charismatic twirl, as she shared the joy in her heart.
