I am about 8 months old, which means I am still figuring out this big world one sniff at a time. My story is a bit of a mystery. One day I was dropped off at a shelter and I'm not sure why. It's possible those nice folks found me wandering as a stray and wanted to get me to safety. Either way, it was a big change for a pup like me, so I can be a bit tentative at first. I like to take a moment to look around, tilt my head, and decide if everything is safe before I jump in. Once I realize things are okay, my curious terrier spirit starts to come out. Right now I am a quiet observer with the other dogs. I do not rush up to them or start the party, but I am perfectly fine having them around. I think I am just taking notes and learning the ropes. With a little patience and kindness, I will likely blossom into a playful companion who is ready for adventures, cozy naps, and lots of tail wags. People keep telling me how adorable I am, and honestly I cannot argue with them. I have that classic scruffy terrier look, bright eyes, and a sweet expression that seems to say, "Are you my person?" What I really want is a home where I can feel safe, loved, and understood while I grow into the wonderful dog I am meant to be.
