About Tapper
Meet Tapper! Tapper is a 5-year-old, 66-pound charmer with a gentle soul and a friendly heart. He rides great in the car and settles in easily, making him a wonderful companion for errands or weekend outings. On leash, he's mostly polite and easy to walk. He may pull toward people because he genuinely wants to make friends, and while he ignores wildlife, he can pull more strongly and whine a bit when passing other dogs, something that could improve with continued leash work and guidance. Tapper shows strong signs of being housetrained and is well behaved inside a home. He enjoys playing with toys, rolling around in the yard, and soaking up simple joys, but his energy level stays in a lovely low-to-medium range. He's playful when the moment calls for it and just as happy to relax right by your side. He knows "sit" and "shake," takes treats gently, and is a big fan of special snacks like pup cups. Tapper is affectionate in a calm, respectful way, seeking closeness without being overwhelming. With his gentle demeanor, he may do well with respectful children. Tapper is the kind of dog who blends seamlessly into home life - loving, steady, and easy to be around. He's looking for a family who will appreciate his sweet nature and enjoy sharing both playful moments and quiet companionship with him. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
