Tonic
AvailableTonic is an adult domestic short hair female currently located in Boyne City, MI. She’s a medium-sized cat who is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Tonic will need to be the only cat in her home due to her FIV positive status and she is not yet house trained.
About Tonic
Tonic is a striking cat with a way of winning people over from the moment she lands in a new place. Coming from an overcrowded shelter, she’s quickly made herself at home and hasn’t wasted time rolling onto her back to ask for pets. Those big green eyes always seem to catch your attention, begging for a little affection. Tonic is FIV positive, which means she’ll need to live indoors as an only cat to keep herself and others safe. Although FIV is only contagious to other cats and won't affect dogs or people, her immune system needs a little extra care—she’s more susceptible to illness than the average cat. Still, with the right care and environment, FIV cats like Tonic often thrive for many happy years. This affectionate girl just needs a home willing to give her a chance. She’s ready to return the favor with loyalty and love. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Tonic
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic short hair cats like Tonic are adaptable and do well in apartments or houses, as long as they feel safe and have space to explore. Tonic, being FIV positive, will thrive best as an indoor-only cat in a calm, caring environment.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Tonic should stay indoors to preserve her health and prevent the spread of FIV. Domestic short hair cats often like to watch birds through the window, but Tonic doesn't need outdoor space—plenty of indoor activities will keep her happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic short hair cats are usually a good match for families, and Tonic’s sweet demeanor suggests she could adapt well around respectful children. Her FIV status just means some extra consideration for her health is needed.
