About Gaia

Meet Gaia, the mother from our Greek Mythology litter. Rescued in the nick of time from the desert after being abandoned with her pups, she’s learning to trust again after a rough ordeal. At first, she’s wary and avoids touch, but food helps coax her out. She can accept gentle pats if approached calmly on a leash. Right now, she’s still decompressing, figuring out that she’s somewhere safe. Her hormones are still settling since she just finished nursing and was only recently spayed. Gaia needs a patient, quiet home—preferably with adults or older kids who understand the need for space and predictable routines. Little ones might put her on edge. She sleeps right through the night in her crate once inside (she may need a little prompting to go in). Gaia gets along well with her foster family’s dog and should adjust well to other respectful dogs as she continues to settle down. Her protective side is still strong after raising her litter, but given time and care she has real potential to become a devoted companion.
