Meet Rufus, a 13-month-old neutered Boxer/Labrador Retriever mix searching for his forever home in Mount Pleasant, SC. He’s a genuinely sweet, goofy boy who thrives around dogs and children, always eager to share affection and be included in the fun. Rufus adores chew toys and has a way of melting into cuddles with people or canine buddies once he’s burned off his energy. He’s also good with cats, though he sometimes can’t resist playfully chasing them for a laugh. Housebreaking is still a work in progress, but Rufus’s love for learning makes him a cooperative trainee. He sometimes acts cautiously around new experiences—hardwood floors, for example—but patience pays off, and his gentle nature always shines through. Expect zero aggression; Rufus is pure good-natured companion. He’ll do best in a home where he can stretch his legs in a fenced yard or join someone on walks and hikes. If you’ve been looking for an adventurous partner or a lovable goof to join your family, Rufus is ready to step up. He was born on February 14, which makes him an Aquarius—no wonder he’s unique and full of personality. Start your journey together! Apply now.
