Sweet, gentle 35-lb young dog learning how wonderful family life can be. Mariah is just over a year old and was found with her siblings on a farm in rural Virginia. Because she grew up as a rural stray, everyday household life is still new to her-stairs, vacuum cleaners, and busy homes are things she's only beginning to experience. The lovely thing about Mariah is that she isn't fearful-she just hasn't learned about these things yet. She's an incredibly sweet, gentle, affectionate girl who truly loves people. Petting is still a little new to her, but she's quickly learning that human attention is pretty wonderful. In foster care she's already gaining confidence and relaxing more every day. Mariah is great with other dogs, has been around cats, and has been gentle with children thanks to her soft, submissive personality. A calm dog friend could help her continue building confidence. Before rescue, Mariah raised three puppies in a hay barn. All of her babies survived and have already found wonderful homes-now it's Mariah's turn. She doesn't need a perfect home-just a kind one willing to show her how loved dogs live. With patience and encouragement, Mariah will blossom into a deeply loyal companion. 35 lbs about 1 year old good with dogs, cats, and kids Mariah is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.
