Meet Destiny Destiny is a sweet, resilient girl who is ready to find the loving home she deserves. With her beautiful, soulful eyes and gentle personality, it doesn't take long for her to steal hearts. Destiny is a tripod, having lost a rear leg after being hit by a car, but she doesn't let that slow her down. She gets around very well, can hop up on the couch by herself, and enjoys spending her time relaxing with her people. She has a laid-back personality and loves attention, pets, and cozy snuggles on the sofa. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing as long as things don't get too rowdy. Destiny has also been around cats, where she mostly sniffs them and then goes about her day. Her story shows just how strong and forgiving she is. For much of the summer, Destiny survived by hiding under parked log trucks and occasionally visiting a kind woman's camper for food. She kept her distance from people until the night she was hit by a car. That night, when someone gently slipped a lead over her, she quietly walked to the van--almost as if she knew help had finally arrived. Destiny completed her heartworm treatment in January 2026 and is now ready to focus on the next chapter of her life. Her ideal home would be fairly calm but still active enough to give her regular walks and attention. Older children over age 7 would likely be the best fit, as she prefers a more relaxed environment. Most of all, Destiny is looking for a home filled with patience, love, and a comfy place to curl up beside her favorite people.
