About Jorie
***Apply to adopt at https://pawsitiveheartspa.rescuegroups.org/info/display?PageID=22009&popup=Yes (DO NOT SUBMIT PETFINDER INQUIRY PLEASE!)*** 03/08/2026 Meet Jorie – the handsome, mysterious, slightly dramatic, and incredibly photogenic 1-year-old bluff Domestic Shorthair looking for a very special home. 🐾 Jorie’s story started out tougher than any kitten deserves. He lost his mom and siblings when he was very young, which meant he had to grow up navigating the world of humans on his own terms. Since then, he’s spent his life in foster care, moving between homes while everyone tries to help him figure out that people aren’t so scary after all. Here’s the thing about Jorie… He may not be the “pick me up and cuddle me on the couch” kind of cat (at least not yet). But he absolutely LOVES other cats. Big cats, little cats, playful kittens, calm seniors—Jorie is everyone’s best feline friend. He also does great around a large dog, proving he’s pretty open-minded when it comes to roommates. Humans? Well… humans are still a bit suspicious in his book. Jorie will happily hang out in the same room with you—sometimes even within a foot of your reach—but the moment you think “maybe I can pet him…” he turns it into a friendly little game of cat and mouse. Off he goes! But not far… because within moments he’ll be right back in the same room keeping an eye on things like the curious little supervisor he is. The good news is that Jorie has some very strong redeeming qualities: 📸 He is ridiculously handsome. This boy takes the kind of pictures that could make your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook—or whatever the cool kids are using these days—absolutely thrive. Your social media engagement will thank you. 👕 You’ll stay lint-roller ready. Since he’s not quite a lap cat yet, chances are you won’t be covered in cat hair all day. You’ll look fantastic while still giving a deserving cat a loving home. Win-win. 🎾 He LOVES toys. When the humans aren’t watching too closely, Jorie becomes a playful goofball, batting toys across the floor and showing off just how fun he can be. 🥫 Canned food is his love language. Put out some wet food and this boy shows up like he’s entering a competitive eating contest. And if there were an Olympic sport for Churu treats… Jorie would take home the gold every time. This past winter he discovered something new—the enclosed back porch of his foster home. He cautiously took one step outside, paused ran right back in , and seemed to realize something important: Even though he’s had a rough start… Even though trusting humans is still a work in progress… What he really wants is a safe indoor home and a patient person to call his own. Jorie has already endured more than most cats do in a lifetime. Now he deserves the chance to live life on his terms, with someone who understands that the best relationships sometimes take a little time to build. The right home will see his potential, appreciate his quirks, and let him be the leader in deciding when the next step in trust happens. ✨ Jorie is: • Neutered • Vaccinated • Microchipped • FIV & FeLV negative So if you’re looking for a gorgeous, entertaining, slightly mysterious roommate who will keep your other pets happy and your social media followers engaged… Jorie might just be your guy. You might need to bring your own net to his meet-and-greet… but I promise, he’s worth the chase. 😸 And somewhere under that handsome bluff fur is a heart that’s just waiting for the right human to prove that forever homes really do exist. ❤️ Write bio - what is best home for cat (quiet, older people, no kids, etc.).
