Pepper is a curious, clever little cat looking for a patient home where she can share her big personality and affection. Curious, clever, and confident, Pepper Ann ("Pepper") is around 9 years old and will be the perfect little shadow for someone who appreciates her endlessly entertaining personality. Pepper loves being part of whatever you're doing and will happily follow you from room to room to supervise the day's activities. If two people are in different rooms, Pepper will position herself in the hallway so she can keep an eye on both! Pepper spent many years with one owner before coming to PAWS, and she's ready to settle into a loving, patient, and consistent forever home. Pepper is incredibly curious and intelligent, and she really keeps life interesting. She loves to explore, investigate every corner of the house, and chat with her adorable raspy "little grandma" meow. She enjoys short but enthusiastic play sessions, especially with her toy mice, which she will proudly carry in her mouth and deliver to you as a special gift. Several times a day she gets bursts of cuddle energy where she hops up, gives little licks, and settles in for snuggles. Pepper usually likes to be the initiator of cuddles, and thrives with people who respect her boundaries. She'd probably be happiest in a home with adults or older teens who appreciate her personality and can give her the space to show her sweet side on her own terms. Pepper has a few medical conditions that are very manageable. She requires a monthly Solensia injection at the vet for her arthritis. She gets gabapentin twice daily (for the arthritis) and a daily antihistamine for her allergies, both of which she eats mixed in her food with no issue. She also has a condition called eyelid agenesis in her left eye, which means her eyelid is a little underdeveloped, so she needs eye ointment daily to prevent her eye from getting too dry. Pepper isn't a big fan of this part of her routine, but she's very forgiving afterward. She'll do best with a calm, confident caregiver who can help her with this daily care. Pepper is a truly special cat and is ready to be a devoted and hilarious companion for someone who is ready to give her the stability and care she deserves.
