Meet Lexi – Your Daily Dose of Chocolatey Joy. Lexi is a one-year-old purebred chocolate Labrador Retriever weighing in at a perfect 60 pounds of wiggly happiness. This girl brings giant Lab energy wherever she goes—she’s ready at any moment for whatever adventure you have in mind! Hike? Yes. Walk? Absolutely. Playtime in the yard? Already waiting at the door. When Lexi gets excited (which is often), her entire body wiggles from nose to tail—a full-body happy dance that will make you smile every single day. She came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of her own, and now she’s ready to find the forever family she truly deserves. True to her Lab roots, Lexi is happy, wiggly, friendly, and full of energy. She does wonderfully with children, other dogs, and even cats, making her an easy addition to many kinds of families. She’s also crate trained and will trot right into her crate when you say the magic word: "work." Smart and adorable! Lexi is truly all that and a bag of chocolate-covered potato chips—sweet, irresistible, and impossible to have just one of. Speaking of which... Labs are a lot like potato chips—you can’t have just one. Because she’s a young, high-energy girl, Lexi is looking for an active family who will include her in life’s adventures—long walks, weekend outings, backyard games, and plenty of love. Lexi is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which means she can start settling into your home while she waits to see the shelter vet. She will still need to be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for heartworm.
