A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there. Meet Wall-E Wall-E is an 8-month-old shepherd mix who is ready for a fresh start. He was found as a stray along with 4 other dogs, 2 of which are likely siblings and the other 2 possibly parents. The probable parents are a male white shepherd/pyrenees mix and female german shepherd mix, best guess. Now he’s living at a foster home outside while he waits for the chance to start a new life. Despite everything he’s likely been through, Wall-E is a happy and friendly pup. He enjoys being around people and gets along well with other dogs. He has a sweet personality and is starting to learn that people can be kind and that life can be safe and comfortable. Wall-E is still learning the basics of living in a home. He is not potty trained or crate trained that we know of, and he is currently working on his leash manners. With patience, consistency, and love, he should do very well as he continues learning and building confidence. Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
