Pheonix is a breathtaking, large adult female Dutch Shepherd mix who looks just as striking in person as she does in her black and white photos. After surviving a difficult start as a stray in the Miami farm area, she needed time to heal both emotionally and physically. Now, she’s found her loving personality again and is absolutely devoted to people, greeting everyone with gentle sweetness and a desire for affection. Her expressive eyes and calm presence make her truly irresistible. Despite her imposing appearance, she is not a guard dog—she’s wonderfully friendly, especially towards strangers. Pheonix is exceptionally affectionate, thriving on companionship and gentle pets. While she can't go home with other dogs or cats due to her strong prey drive, she’s proven to be a low-energy, couch-loving companion who will shine in a quiet, single-family home or ground-floor apartment where passing by other dogs is limited. She is impeccably obedience-trained, laid back, and, despite her shepherd roots, handles herself with the serenity of a gentle soul. She loves children and has demonstrated wonderful manners around them. Currently, Pheonix is excelling in the Magic City K9 prison dog training program in Miami, Florida. Upon graduation, she will have earned multiple AKC certifications, showcasing her reliable training and good manners.
