About Brodie
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Brodie is a striking young adult Great Dane and Black Labrador Retriever mix who is hoping to finally find his forever home. After coming in as a stray from Austintown and waiting patiently, no one came to claim him—now he’s ready to become the beloved family member he deserves to be. While his exact breed mix is a mystery, one thing is certain: Brodie is simply stunning. Friendly and playful, Brodie thrives on interaction and will need regular exercise, training, and plenty of personal attention to help him truly flourish. He’s a large, fun-loving dog who gets along well with other dogs, but a family with cats may not be the best fit for him. Brodie longs for companionship, something he deeply misses while in the shelter. Brodie represents just one of the many homeless dogs in need of a loving family. His adoption fee covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, a dog license, and more—and thanks to Friends of Fido, his adopter will receive the first round of training free of charge. He is eagerly waiting for someone willing to share their heart and home with him. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Brodie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Great Dane and Black Labrador Retriever mixes generally thrive in spacious homes where they have plenty of room to move. They do best in environments that provide plenty of attention, exercise, and family interaction.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A large, securely fenced yard is ideal for this mix, as both parent breeds are active dogs who enjoy room to run and play. Daily walks and active playtime are important even without extensive outdoor space.

Both Great Danes and Labradors are generally friendly with children and often make good family dogs, but supervision is recommended due to their size and playful nature to ensure safe interactions.
