About Clay
Clay, with his broad head and strong frame, is one of the many strays who never had anyone come back for him. Like countless others who ended up at the shelter, he was once someone’s dog—now he waits for a second chance. Clay is a young adult pit bull mix, and despite what he’s been through, people here call him a truly great dog. Out in the play yard, he mixes well with the other dogs and stays upbeat even when kennel noise gets loud. He’s not a match for homes with cats, and his experience with children isn’t known yet. Inside, he’s still figuring out house training, but he’s adaptable and ready to learn with the right guidance. At about 55 lbs, he’s solid and athletic, but what stands out more is his willingness to connect. Clay’s adoption fee covers his neuter, vaccinations, and basic vetting. What’s more, Friends of Fido will sponsor the first round of training after adoption. He’s overlooked far too often. Dogs like Clay deserve better. Your attention and a share could be what gives him his long-overdue fresh start. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
