Copper is a sensitive young pup who is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. He may be a little nervous when first meeting new people or experiencing new environments, but with a little patience he begins to relax and show his curious, gentle personality. Copper would likely do best in a home with a confident, friendly dog companion, especially one larger than him, who can help show him the ropes and build his confidence. He has shown curiosity around other animals and tends to avoid conflict when unsure. As a young puppy, Copper will need help with potty training and learning the routines of a home. He may also cry at night if left alone but settles well with comforting background noise like a radio. Copper is a sweet, sensitive pup who communicates when he feels overwhelmed by freezing or backing away rather than reacting.
