Meet Nala 💙 Nala is a sweet, gentle 5-year-old blue Staffordshire Terrier with a calm soul and a loving heart. She is mild-mannered, intuitive, and incredibly loyal—one of those dogs who just gets her person. Nala enjoys daily walks, chewing on bones, and spending quiet time with her humans. She’s low-maintenance overall but, true to her breed, does best with regular walks to keep her happy and balanced. She sleeps peacefully through the night, either on her bed or yours, and is not a barker—only alerting when she hears a doorbell or knock. She is in excellent physical condition and has been fed a raw diet, doing best with turkey or chicken and rice. A high-quality kibble for sensitive stomachs would likely suit her well too. Nala loves other dogs of all sizes and is not dominant. She would do best being fed separately. She does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. Nala has experienced abuse in her past but has remained stable, loving, and trusting. Because of this, she needs a home that uses gentle, positive methods—no harsh or domineering handling. She previously had a litter of puppies that she lost, and squeaky toys that resemble puppies can be upsetting for her, so she prefers other types of toys. She has been an emotional support animal and has helped her person through many challenges. To them, she is truly a hero—and she’s ready to be that for someone new. She is a high value resource guarder.
