About Dillydally

Where in the world is the poky little puppy? RIGHT HERE! This litter got their names because of their resemblance to the puppy from one of our favorite children's books. Much like the puppy who always stopped to smell the flowers along the way, Dillydally - or just Dilly - takes her time enjoying every bit of fun she can find. The smallest pup in the group, Dilly proves that big personalities can come in tiny packages. She's often found frolicking, bouncing, and generally dillydallying around the house in search of her next adventure. But don't be fooled by her playful side - this little girl is also a champion cuddler who loves being close to her people. Sometimes she'll even politely (or very emphatically) remind you that it's time for special attention and extra snuggles. Born January 20 to a cattle dog mix mama (dad remains a mystery guest author in this story - possibly with a little hound in the plotline), Dillydally and her siblings have discovered that even little puppies can have big voices and aren't shy about sharing their musical talents when they have important opinions to share. Because of that, she may not be the best fit for apartment living. We expect this litter to be solid medium-sized dogs in the 50-60 pound range. While every dog is an individual and we always match our fosters with homes based on their specific needs and personalities, cattle dogs are generally high-energy working breeds that thrive with active owners who enjoy playtime, training, and giving their dogs jobs to do. As these pups grow, they will likely need plenty of activity and mental engagement to be their happiest selves. Interested adopters may want to spend a little time reading about cattle dog (heeler) traits to make sure one of these sweet pups is the right fit for their home. These puppies are still very much babies, just starting to learn how to "dog", so they will need homes ready to teach them all the important puppy lessons they need to know to help them grow from poky puppies to amazing adult dogs. If you want a joyful little sidekick who will happily dillydally through life's adventures with you, Dilly is ready to tag along. You can see lots more poky puppy adventures on Instagram.
