AvailableRocket is a male Domestic Short Hair kitten with a small build and a short, gray tabby coat. He is neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. While currently in Greenwood, IN, Rocket is looking for a forever family who can support his special health needs.
About Rocket
Rocket arrived barely hanging on as a tiny kitten, fighting his way through weeks in an incubator and on oxygen just to breathe. Diagnosed early with Mycoplasma, which heās since beaten, and Calici Virus, heās become a fixture at the vetās office, enduring everything from sedated exams to endless rounds of medication. Despite no clear fix for his congestion, Rocket now manages with a quirky routineāoccasional sneezing fits, a tongue that hangs out when he sleeps, and the need to have his nose suctioned now and then. Stress or seasonal changes might hit him a little harder, but he takes it in stride, and life in a calmer, quieter home may help him thrive further. Through it all, Rocketās spirit hasnāt dimmed. Heās attached to people, trailing his foster around the house, seeking out attention, and blending in with the other kittens and even the small dogsāsnuggling, playing, or simply curling up somewhere warm. Heās happiest on a lap or tucked under the covers at night. Rocket can live with calm, vaccinated cats or those whoāve already recovered from Calici, but would also adapt as a solo cat. His adopter will need to understand lingering symptoms, be ready for ongoing vet checks, and keep watch for gingivitis. Rocketās looking for someone to love him as he is, quirks and all.
