About Milo Rio

Name: Milo Rio Breed: Lab Mix DOB: 12/6/2025 Good with kids: YES Good with dogs: YES Good with cats: YES Foster location: Milwaukee, WI Adoption fee: $400 Fun Bio: Meet Milo Rio Milo Rio is a sweet, curious pup with a calm and easygoing personality. Since arriving in foster care, he has settled in beautifully and is already showing what a smart and adaptable little guy he is. He loves exploring new things, entertaining himself with toys, and working on treat puzzles like a tiny problem-solving genius. Milo Rio also enjoys stretching his legs and having a good run when he gets the chance, followed by a well-earned nap. He's picking up on training quickly and is already doing well with “Sit” and “Come.” Potty training is going well, and he's learning the routine of home life like a champ. At bedtime, Milo Rio walked right into his crate and slept peacefully through the night. Milo Rio is also a social butterfly. He has played well with new friends he has met around the neighborhood and loves meeting new people, happily greeting everyone with a wagging tail and plenty of kisses. Milo Rio has a gentle, affectionate nature and seems very content to play, observe the world around him, and enjoy the simple things like toys, treats, and cozy rest time. His name has a special meaning: Milo comes from roots meaning merciful, gracious, and beloved. Rio is the Spanish word for river, symbolizing movement, adaptability, and steady strength. Together, Milo Rio means “beloved strength in motion” — a gentle heart with an adventurous current. If you're looking for a sweet, smart companion who enjoys playtime, learning new things, making new friends, and being part of a loving home, Milo Rio may be the perfect addition to your family. If interested in a pet from us, please fill out the adoption application that is located on our website. We process applications in the order in which they are received. We always recommend crate training, positive reinforcement training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog/puppy into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time! Included in the adoption fee are age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing (done at 26 weeks), deworming, spay or neuter surgery, and microchip.
