Meet Gretel 💕 Gretel’s story didn’t start the way any puppy’s should. She was heartbreakingly seen being dumped alongside her brother, Hansel, before kind strangers reached out to our rescue for help. Thankfully, those days are behind her — and now she’s ready for her happy ending. At approximately 10 months old and 48 pounds, Gretel is a beautiful Staffy mix with a big heart and even bigger energy. She’s incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs and truly just wants to be part of the action. Whether it’s hiking trails, going for runs, or enjoying a backyard play session, Gretel would thrive with an active family that includes her in their daily adventures. She’s still learning the ropes — working on leash walking and polishing up her manners — but she’s a smart, eager girl who just needs consistency and patience. With the right forever family willing to guide her, Gretel is going to blossom into an amazing companion. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed about tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport. *Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year. *Listed breed and age are based on a best-guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. *Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption. *All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
