Chippy Dip is 9.5 years old and appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier (mix?). He was adopted from ODAS but surrendered by his owner 4.5 years later...(no fault of his own) with his companion, Dippy (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix--see his profile). Chippy Dip is a senior dog and has his FAVORITE toy he carries with him everywhere (which will go to his new home with him!). He is a senior dog and gets around a bit slowly (as we all do when we age), so he'll do best in an adult home only (he doesn't much care for children anyway--LOL). Chippy Dip is afraid of loud noises (vacuum, thunder, the other dogs barking at this shelter!). He doesn't much care for cats and would prefer to be the only dog. Chippy Dip and Dippy seem to get along fine together here, but Chippy Dip doesn't care much for "new" dogs. We won't require they stay together--but maybe they'd prefer to stay together as they've lived together for the past for the past four years. Chippy Dip is toy and food motivated, can be quiet/shy and a bit stubborn (he's earned that right!), and can get anxious when left alone (so would prefer to have a home where his person/people were home most of the time). His tail wags constantly, but he's scared and doesn't understand why he's here...
