About Collette

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Collette is a sweet, sensitive, quirky little Collie who thrives on love, routine, and a calm environment. This gentle, medium-sized adult girl may come off as a bit shy at first, but with time and patience, she becomes an affectionate and deeply loyal companion. Collette delights in her own unique, cat-like way: she might rest under the bed or quietly watch the world around her, waiting for gentle pets and affection from those she trusts. Once she warms up, Collette is very friendly and loving, forming strong bonds with her people. She may be initially skittish around new faces indoors and may bark, but with time and kindness she relaxes and will come over to investigate. Her ideal family would be calm and patient, ideally with older children (10+) who understand shy dogs and can interact gently. Collette gets along well with other dogs and does well in group settings, with or without slow introductions. When it comes to cats, she isn't aggressive but she does show interest during walks, so she may do best in a home without cats or where careful management can be provided. Collette loves chewing on yak cheese bars, sticks, and bones, and she rarely chews on anything that's not hers. She finds comfort in belly rubs, cozy spaces, and her kennel, which serves as her safe retreat. While she enjoys daily walks and gentle outdoor adventures, she much prefers to be inside unless her people are out with her in the yard. Collette is house trained, uses a doggie door, and barks only rarely. She sleeps soundly in her kennel each night, which she sees as a positive space. Camping and group adventuring suit her well; she sticks close on off-leash outings and comes back when called. If she ever slips out, she prefers to wait by the door for her loved ones. Collette walks beautifully on a leash and has grown more confident with each adventure. She’s looking for a special, patient family and, in return, she’s ready to offer a lifetime of gentle companionship and loyalty. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
