About Maya

They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? MAYA is a gentle giant, an inspiring medical survivor, and a complete love bug who is ready to steal your heart. MAYA truly is a miracle. Over the last two years, this magnificent girl has faced challenges most cannot imagine—including major leg and spinal surgeries, and even beating cancer. Through all of it, her spirit remained bright. Today, she is the sweetest, most affectionate dog you’ll meet, always craving human touch and loving to lean her big, gentle body in close while you sit, eagerly requesting pets and delivering adoring kisses. MAYA’s loving nature extends to dogs of every size—she’s a true friend to everyone, from small dogs to her best buddies. She enjoys playgroup time but needs some monitoring so she doesn’t overexert herself. If you see her rolling on the grass and exchanging doggy kisses with friends, you’ll know she feels sheer joy in the moment. With her medical history in mind, MAYA’s routine is calm and slow-paced. She prefers short, relaxed walks and is a professional yard-lounger, finding bliss basking in the sunshine and soaking up each peaceful, slow day. Adopting MAYA is a special commitment. She needs a family who understands her past, who can provide a careful, loving environment, and who is prepared—emotionally and financially—for her ongoing medical needs. In return, she will reward you with the kind of love only a true survivor can give. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
