This beautiful GSD is Florence! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 2/27. Her family must have learned she was at the shelter and surrendered her because it is noted that she is dog friendly. It appears Florence has had a rough go of it lately; she is underweight and it looks as though she has had fly strike on her ears. Sadly, she is also heartworm positive, but with proper treatment and care she can go on to live a long and healthy life. The volunteers just adore this girl and describe her as so very sweet and loving. She truly deserves a second chance at love and happiness! Florence is quiet in her kennel and spends most of the time snoozing on her bed. She walks well on leash and sits nicely for treats. If you have a soft spot for the underdogs, please come meet Florence! She really needs a hero! Florence is approximately 2 years old, and weighs 62 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while she receives her heartworm treatments.
