About Sweets

Sweets – A Playful Kitten with a Heart Full of Love Quick Facts Age: 15 weeks old Gender: Male Vaccinations: Up to date Spayed/Neutered: Will be completed when age appropriate FeLV & FIV: Negative Microchipped: Yes House Trained: Yes Good With: Cats, dogs, and respectful children Sweets was found as a stray in Fulton and quickly proved that his name suits him perfectly. Despite starting life on his own outdoors, he has turned out to be an incredibly affectionate, easygoing kitten who seems to love everyone he meets. At just 15 weeks old, Sweets is full of playful kitten energy. He rarely sits still for long because there is always something exciting to explore or a toy to chase. He loves to play, bounce around with other animals, and investigate the world around him. But as energetic as he can be, Sweets also has a wonderfully gentle and relaxed personality. He gets along beautifully with other cats and dogs and is especially sweet with children. In his foster home, he has become particularly attached to one little girl and often chooses to curl up around her neck at bedtime, happily settling in for the night. Sweets is the kind of kitten who blends into family life with ease. He enjoys companionship, playtime, and being close to his people, making him a wonderful fit for a home with other pets or children. If You’re Thinking About Adopting Me, I Think You Should Know I’m a playful little guy who loves to explore, chase toys, and make new friends. I get along great with other animals and I’m very gentle with kids. When playtime is over, I’m more than happy to snuggle up and keep someone company. If you’re looking for a kitten who will bring fun, affection, and a lot of personality into your home, I might be the perfect match. Important Adoption Information and Next Steps: All animals adopted through the Oswego County SPCA (OCAWL) are: Spayed or neutered Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations Microchipped prior to adoption Cats are FeLV/FIV tested, and dogs are heartworm tested (if age-appropriate). Our animals are cared for in loving foster homes — they are not housed in a shelter environment. We review all applications thoroughly to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and rescue operations so we can continue saving animals throughout Oswego County. To apply to adopt, please visit www.oswegocountyspca.org and complete our adoption application. After Submitting Your Application: Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you do not currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed. For Pets Already in the Home: Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe. Keep in Mind: We are 100 percent foster-based and 100 percent volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Please be patient — but if you do not hear back within a few days, feel free to message us on our Facebook page to confirm your application went through.
