About Glyniss
Glyniss – A Loyal Little Shadow Who Just Wants to Be Close Quick Facts Age: 10 years old Gender: Female Breed: Chihuahua / Pomeranian mix Vaccinations: Up to date Spayed/Neutered: Yes Heartworm: Negative Microchipped: Yes House Trained: Yes Good With: Dogs, cats, and respectful children Glyniss is a 10-year-old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix with a bright personality and a surprisingly playful spirit. She may technically be a senior, but she still has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life. Despite being small, Glyniss is agile and loves to move. She enjoys exploring, playing, and showing off her funny little personality. She has the kind of charm that makes people smile — the type of dog who keeps life entertaining with her expressive face and quirky antics. Glyniss is what many people lovingly call a “velcro dog.” She bonds deeply with her people and loves to be nearby, whether that means following you from room to room or curling up next to you when it’s time to relax. Her favorite place is wherever her humans happen to be. At the same time, Glyniss is a well-adjusted little dog who can also handle time alone without issue. She is not destructive and settles nicely when left on her own. Glyniss has done well living with other dogs and cats, and she would likely do just fine in a home with respectful children as well. Before coming into rescue, Glyniss was found abandoned in a house. Despite that experience, she has held onto her affectionate nature and trusting heart. She is ready to leave that chapter behind and find a home where she can once again be someone’s loyal companion. If You’re Thinking About Adopting Me, I Think You Should Know I love being close to my people and will happily be your little shadow around the house. I still have lots of energy and personality, and I promise to keep life interesting with my playful and funny ways. I’m comfortable living with other pets and I settle nicely when left alone. Mostly, I just want a home where I can feel safe, loved, and included in everyday life. Important Adoption Information and Next Steps: All animals adopted through the Oswego County SPCA (OCAWL) are: Spayed or neutered Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations Microchipped prior to adoption Cats are FeLV/FIV tested, and dogs are heartworm tested (if age-appropriate). Our animals are cared for in loving foster homes — they are not housed in a shelter environment. We review all applications thoroughly to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and rescue operations so we can continue saving animals throughout Oswego County. To apply to adopt, please visit www.oswegocountyspca.org and complete our adoption application. After Submitting Your Application: Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you do not currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed. For Pets Already in the Home: Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe. Keep in Mind: We are 100 percent foster-based and 100 percent volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us — but if you do not hear back within a few days, feel free to message us on our Facebook page to confirm your application went through.
