About Biscut

Biscuit – A Loyal Companion Looking for a Soft Place to Land Quick Facts Age: 6 years old Gender: Male Vaccinations: Up to date Spayed/Neutered: Yes FeLV & FIV: Negative Microchipped: Yes House Trained: Yes Good With: Cats and respectful children Biscuit is a gentle, loving cat whose life recently changed in a way no pet could understand. For years, Biscuit had a wonderful home filled with love alongside his feline companion, Spencer. Their person cared deeply for them and gave them the kind of stable, affectionate home every animal deserves. Sadly, their owner is now in hospice care and will not be returning home. Through no fault of their own, Biscuit and Spencer suddenly found themselves needing to start over and search for new families. Biscuit is a very sweet cat who is still adjusting to the sudden change in his life. At six years old, he had grown used to the comfort of a familiar home and routine, so the transition has understandably left him feeling a little unsure. But beneath that uncertainty is a loving, loyal cat who simply wants to feel safe again. With a little patience and kindness, Biscuit’s gentle personality begins to shine through. He has lived peacefully with other cats and enjoys quiet companionship once he feels secure in his surroundings. Biscuit isn’t asking for much — just a calm home, loving humans, and the chance to build a new bond after losing the one he knew for so long. If You’re Thinking About Adopting Me, I Think You Should Know I’ve been through a lot of change recently, and I may be a little nervous at first while I figure out my new surroundings. But I am a very sweet boy who just wants to love and be loved again. If you give me patience, kindness, and a soft place to land, I promise to be a loyal companion who will appreciate every bit of the home we build together. Important Adoption Information and Next Steps: All animals adopted through the Oswego County SPCA (OCAWL) are: Spayed or neutered Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations Microchipped prior to adoption Cats are FeLV/FIV tested, and dogs are heartworm tested (if age-appropriate). Our animals are cared for in loving foster homes — they are not housed in a shelter environment. We review all applications thoroughly to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and rescue operations so we can continue saving animals throughout Oswego County. To apply to adopt, please visit www.oswegocountyspca.org and complete our adoption application. After Submitting Your Application: Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you do not currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed. For Pets Already in the Home: Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe. Keep in Mind: We are 100 percent foster-based and 100 percent volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us — but if you do not hear back within a few days, feel free to message us on our Facebook page to confirm your application went through.
