About Maximillian "max"
Max Maximillian is a 3-year-old Lab/Pointer mix in Maryville, MO, recently surrendered after his family moved. At 42 lbs, the staff is helping him put on healthy weight and improve his body condition. He’s active, affectionate, and playful, with a strong love for running and time spent with his people. Max is high energy and thrives indoors. He’s housebroken and crate trained, rides well in the car, enjoys being a lap dog, and already knows sit, lay down, and come. Squeaky toys and bones keep him occupied. He barks excessively, likes to chew, and sometimes jumps on people. Protective tendencies show around his person, and he gets nervous with new people, especially men, so slow introductions are best. He bonds with women and children but does not get along with other dogs or cats. Walks on leash are going well and with time he may improve with other dogs, especially after he’s neutered. Max needs a home ready for a high-energy dog who requires patience during meet-and-greets. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
