About Mishka

Meet Mishka. His name means 'little mouse,' and at 15–20 years old, this gentle senior is searching for a peaceful forever home. Mishka arrived at Lavender’s Legacy Cat Rescue after his longtime person had to move to assisted living—a tough goodbye made out of love. Now he needs someone who can offer him the same devotion. You’ll notice right away that Mishka is the definition of a calm, affectionate companion. He prefers soft places to nap and quiet company, and he’ll happily settle in next to you just to be present. There’s an easy comfort about him that only a senior cat can bring. Mishka does come with some medical considerations. He has a heart murmur, kidney disease, and dental disease, but anesthesia is too risky for dental work. His kidney disease will need monitoring and supportive care to keep him comfortable as long as possible. What he needs most is a quiet, loving home where he’s safe and can soak up gentle affection. He still has so much love left to give. If you have space in your life for a senior cat and a soft spot for cats who need a little extra, Mishka might be the one waiting for you.
