Zuri is a 4-year-old apricot/beige Poodle mix weighing about 12 pounds, and she’s as sweet as they come. This adorable little lady came to Dogworks after a family member was no longer able to care for her. Now she’s ready to find a kind, loving forever family of her own. Zuri may be a little shy when she first meets new people, but give her a little time and she quickly warms up and shows her affectionate side. Once she knows you, she absolutely loves attention, kisses, and being close to her people. She’s a gentle, friendly girl with a soft heart. One of Zuri’s cutest quirks is the way she rubs upside down on the carpet — it’s guaranteed to make you smile! She also loves going for walks and enjoys playing chase with her foster dog friends. She currently lives with other dogs and does well with them. Zuri is crate trained and mostly potty trained, with only very rare accidents. She walks nicely on a leash and responds well to gentle verbal correction. When she gets excited to see you, she may jump up to say hello, but it’s all part of her happy, loving personality. Because Zuri can be startled by loud noises and moving cars, she would do best in a home with a secure, standard-height chain link fenced yard where she can feel safe exploring. When she gets scared, she tends to hide rather than react. Her ideal home is a patient, loving family who will give her time to settle in and help her continue building confidence. In return, Zuri will give you endless affection and companionship.
