Why choose me? Tahini is a beautiful mama who came to the shelter with her pups Ranch and Blue Cheese. She's frightened to be here but was willing to walk with me to an interaction pen. She was still worried outside, so I put another dog in the pen next to us. The person that found Tahini and her pups said she had no issues with other dogs and cats, and having another dog nearby today seemed to help. Soon Tahini's tail untucked, and she liked walking along the fence with her new friend. Eventually, she came to me for pets and scratches. When I went to the picnic table, she joined me and hopped up on the tabletop with a big smile. She's a sweet girl, and it was good to see her comfortable and enjoying herself. When it was time to go back to her kennel, Tahini didn't want to go. She's not a fan of leashes, and the barking was unsettling. An officer brought her pup Blue Cheese outside to help encourage Tahini to walk to her kennel, and with help from another volunteer, she made her way. She's a good girl but needs time to feel safe.
