About Sadie
Sadie is a beautiful 3-year-old, 44-pound Catahoula mix. This sweet girl was found as a stray in Henderson County and is now safe in the care of the SPCA of East Texas, where she is currently being treated for heartworms. She’s handling treatment like a champ and looking forward to a bright, healthy future. Sadie is wonderful with people, great with other dogs, and even does well with kids. She is the perfect family dog. She’s very friendly and truly enjoys being part of the action. In her foster home she is housebroken, but she will need consistency and routine to continue doing her best. She sleeps comfortably in her kennel and does best eating her meals there, too. At just 3 years old, Sadie still has plenty of energy. She’s strong and would do best with a confident handler on walks, though she does walk well on a leash. She’ll thrive with an active family who can give her the exercise and structure she needs. Sadie came into our care with a Pointer named Reba, who is also looking for a home. Now Sadie is ready for her own happily ever after. She is truly a family dog just waiting to bring love, joy, and tail wags into her new home.
