A5756564 Meet Val , a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is a stunning, classic example of her breed, with a regal build, luxurious black-and-tan coat, and soulful light eyes that look beautifully framed in smoky eyeliner. In the shelter she appears very scared and nervous, often curled into a tight little ball on her bed when volunteers stop by. But please don’t let that deter you - German Shepherds are incredibly intelligent, loyal, and sensitive, and the overwhelming shelter environment makes it hard for Val to show her true self. With time, patience, and a safe space to decompress, she has all the potential to blossom into an amazing companion. Still young and full of promise, Val is ready to grow, learn, and build a lifelong bond with her people.
