Meet Deacon! Deacon is a two-year-old poodle mix who was rescued around Thanksgiving 2025. Since then he has made tremendous progress. His playful personality has definitely come out! He is very curious about his foster's toddler and loves to watch the neighborhood activity from their gated yard. He takes a moment to warm up to new people. He will initially stay far away from new people until he is comfortable. Once he feels comfortable he will come close and be OK with being petted. When he is totally comfortable, he loves a tummy scratch! Deacon plays great and gets along with other dogs. However, he doesn't need a dog companion so he would be fine as the only pup in the home.
