About Jordan
Jordan is a stunning hound mix with a fabulous white and light tan coat, perfectly dressed as if she's always ready for a night out on the town. This 42-lb young adult girl is tall, elegant, and full of classic hound charm-curious nose, thoughtful eyes, and an appreciation for taking in the world one scent at a time. Shy to start, Jordan will end up being your best friend! She needs someone who will be patient, with no sudden movements around her, to show her that her new life is one that will be filled with love. Once she's feeling comfortable around you, her ears perk up, her tail starts to wag, and she will follow you everywhere you go. Jordan is looking for a family who will truly include her in everything-walks, adventures, lazy afternoons, and all the moments in between. She especially loves walkies, and gets concerned if she thinks she's getting left behind. With those long legs, you need to be able to keep up with her, as she'd prefer her walk never end! She loves being outside basking in the sun and rolling around in the yard. Although she enjoys having canine friends to play with, she'd also do well as an only pet. Crate trained and house trained when kept on a schedule, Jordan has excellent house manners, although she prefers a little something yummy to persuade her to go into her crate. She will leave your shoes alone, but has a weakness for clothes left unattended - extra motivation to play pick-up with the laundry! If you're searching for a graceful, loving companion who wants to be part of your everyday life, Jordan is ready to step right in and steal your heart. Sleepover Host Feedback: "Jordan is a very very sweet dog! A little timid at first but loves being around the humans in the house. She is content to stay warm and cozy most of the day. While she did not alert me to needing to go potty, she did not have any accidents and seems to know to do her business outside. She did surprisingly well on a leash! We took a few short walks and she was happy with a leisurely stroll and to sniff around. She did not react when we came across other dogs. I had to work to get her in the car, but she did OK once settled. My dog and two cats did not make friends and we didn't push the issue. She slept all night in her crate and we didn't have any issues with her settling in or making noise. She also takes her medicine like a champ. She's a sweet girl and I know she will be an amazing pet once she learns how great life can be."
