About Butter Boy
Soft as melted butter and just as sweet—that’s me. They call me Butter Boy, but you can call me Reece’s… because like the candy, I’m the perfect mix of sweet and a little nutty. I’m a 6 year old Beagle /Chihuahua blend, weighing in at a perfectly spreadable 19 pounds. Not too big, not too small—just the right amount of Butter. I may look like a little biscuit at first—quiet, shy, and a bit crumbly around new people—but give me time and I’ll melt right into your heart. I came from a home where I had the same human and fur brother my whole life, so big changes feel like being taken out of the fridge too fast. I just need to warm up slowly. I love my peeps to the moon and back. I’m laid back, playful, and pretty smart if I do say so myself. I know my commands like a pro: Sit (especially if treats are involved ), Beg, Lay down, Roll over and Bedtime, I’m crate trained and leash trained, and I’m working hard on polishing up my house training skills. I don’t need a fenced yard—just daily walks to keep my paws moving and my nose busy. I’m good with other dogs and good with children, too. In fact, having another dog around really helps soothe my little butter heart. I do have some separation anxiety, but I’m improving every day—especially when I have companionship. A home where someone is around a lot would help me feel safe and steady. Right now, I can be shy and a little skittish with new people. I need a very loving, patient family, where I can blossom. I just need gentle hands, soft voices, and time to settle in. Think of me like butter on warm bread—I just need the right warmth to melt. If you’re home often, have a tender heart, and believe the best things in life are soft, sweet, and worth waiting for… I might just be your Butter Boy.
