This is our new friend Emerald! Emerald is a 5 year old mediums haired tortie girl, and she is a complete and utter snuggle bug, in every sense of the word! She loves to cuddle, she loves being picked up for hugs and kisses, and she loves being told that she is a good and pretty girl! If you are looking for a princess to pamper and spoil and gush over, look no further - she's right here! This girl has so many of the classic "tortie" traits, especially when it comes to being your professional sidekick! She is a true girlie girl, and she will sit and gossip with you for hours! Emerald is also very food motivated AND not picky when it comes to food. This is kind of a double edged sword though. The not being picky is great, especially because so many of our feline friends are very fickle, and will eat one type of food one day and then refuse it the next. But not our girl, here! Whatever you got, she'll love it! And therein lies the problem. Whatever YOU got, she'll love it, too! This not-so-sneaky thing has a history of "sharing" with her humans, stealing french fries, fruit, chicken, lunch meat, or anything else right off their plate! So be careful when eating around her! She will jump up and pretend like she's just being an innocent friendly cuddler - don't fall for it! Haha! In all seriousness, rescuing and getting to know Emerald and all of her quirks will be such a rewarding experience. You will be very happy with your choice, should you decide to adopt her! Emerald and her sister, Pogue are losing the only home they've ever known, and that is not easy thing. They aren't littermates, so they aren't bonded to the point of being inseparable. But they very much are sisters who grew up together, and for their sake, we are hoping to keep them that way. Of course, discounts on adoption fees will be given to anyone willing to take them both as a pair!
