Russo has been let down by people too many times in his young life, shuffled from home to home without anyone sticking around. Yet somehow, he still greets you with a wiggly tail and bright eyes, hoping this time someone will stay. Russo is a sharp, eager shepherd mix—playful, loyal, and absolutely devoted once you earn his trust. He already knows sit, down, shake, and heel, and does just about anything for a piece of cheese. He’s working hard on recall and 'leave it,' soaking up every bit of training he can get. Russo loves outings—he handles walks, new places, and people on leash with calm curiosity, as long as his person is nearby. He’ll thrive best with someone patient, kind, and committed to structure. He is house and crate trained, active, and happiest in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and relax. Russo needs to be the only dog—a quiet, adult-only household suits him best—he gets tense sharing resources with other dogs. With cats, though, he does well; he's lived with and been tested around them without issue. Russo is working with a vet to manage anxiety, and medication has let his real personality show through. Continued care will help him keep moving forward, and his new family should be ready to maintain that support. Three free training sessions are included to help him settle in and build confidence.
