Heybud is a black and white, extra-large adult male Domestic Short Hair. He is already neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is currently cared for at Austin Pets Alive! and has tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), which means he will thrive in a home with only other FeLV+ cats but can share his space with dogs or other animals.

About Heybud

Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Heybud, a striking black and white gentleman who’s just arrived at the rescue and is looking for someone to open their heart to him. While staff are still getting to know him, one important thing to note is that he has tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). This virus means his immune system is a bit weaker and he may have a shorter lifespan, but otherwise he’s just like any other cat, ready to bring love and joy to his new home. If you have other cats, Heybud will need to live only with fellow FeLV+ kitties, but he gets along fine with dogs or other animals. The rescue will continue to support his FeLV-related care after adoption, and their Cat Behavior Team is on hand for lifetime support. All cats from this rescue are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Born on March 3, Heybud is a Pisces—Pisces cats are known for being gentle and affectionate! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
