Meet Cosmo!!! This sweet 2-year-old guy came to us from an open intake shelter after they were not able to meet his medical needs--IVDD and an elongated soft palate. During his palate surgery, the vet was unable to locate the end of the palate in order to trim it back. Mostly, this means we monitor him -- we make sure he doesn't get overheated and that his breathing is normal during play. In our care, Cosmo has had no issues with his IVDD or elongated soft palate -- he plays with his people and his pack like a normal dog. He is a happy, silly boy who is house-trained, but also uses potty pads, if necessary. He enjoys the company of other dogs, cats and critters. Cosmo has been vetted, microchipped, and neutered. Seasonally, he may need a Cytopoint injection or Apoquel for itching. This little gremlin is currently being fostered in South Jersey where all meet and greets take place. All family members and resident pets must be present for the meet & greet.
